WHY DO PIMPLES ON MY BACK APPEAR?
Acne is a very common chronic inflammatory disease of the pilosebaceous follicle that manifests itself mainly with excess sebum on the skin. The sebum clogs the pore and forms blackheads because the sebum oxidizes in contact with the air and darkens - known as a pimple. When the acnes bacterium colonizes it, an inflammatory lesion is formed that we colloquially identify as a pimple. In the body we have a high number of sebaceous glands. Different factors such as sweat and rubbing against clothing can cause acne breakouts on the back, chest, and shoulders, known as truncal acne.
SO WHAT DO I DO NOW?
Cleanse the skin daily
Maintain a hygiene routine, which is mild yet effective and easy to follow. Try Himaira’s range of body washes, which help protect the skin from germs and respects the skin's barrier function. When you play sports or gym or swim, take a shower right after you finish. Sweat and rubbing against clothing can create the perfect environment for acne-causing bacteria to proliferate.
Don't touch your pimples, including waxing immediately
Remember not to touch the pimples or it may cause a superinfection.
Control excess sebum and gently exfoliate your skin
Use products like Himaira’s mild body scrub to reduce pimples on your back, help control excess oil, and gently exfoliate your skin.
Its formula contains Green Tea, a key ingredient to help reduce acne on the back.
Watch out for the sun!
It is recommended to use a sunscreen during the day on all exposed areas.
Wear garments made of natural fabrics
Wear comfortable, natural fabric garments so as not to further irritate acne areas. Back acne is easier to hide than facial acne, but this does not mean that you have to live with these lesions. Good skin care can help reduce these uncomfortable lesions, so you can have healthier and more beautiful skin.
