Imagine yourself stepping into a room full of people and leaving the trail of your invigorating scent behind. The fragrance you use, leaves a definition of who you are! There are different scents that tell different features about a person. But choosing a scent that truly appreciates you, creates an aura of confidence around you. Perfume is not just about smelling good, but mastering it’s art of application to ensure that your favourite scent lasts all day long.
1. Choose the right perfume
Choosing the right scent is like choosing the right outfit for a specific occasion. The perfume you choose should always compliment your personality and your style. Perfumes are a luxury you can add in your wardrobe to make you smell good. Opt for perfumes with higher concentration of fragrance oils so they last longer.
2. Apply at the right time
Application of your perfume at the right time is very important. Spray your perfumes after you get out of the shower. Since the skin is clean and freshly hydrated, the fragrance molecules would be locked in the skin, making the fragrance last longer.
3. Understand the pulse points
You might have heard from a lot of people that they spray perfume on your wrists and neck. But have you ever wondered why exactly? Pulse points like wrist, neck, behind the ears and inside of the elbows emit heat. This emitting of heat through the pulse points diffuses and intensifies the fragrance of the perfume.
4. Do not rub!
Do not ever rub the perfume into your skin. Rubbing the perfume, breaks down the fragrance molecules and decreases longevity. Rather lightly dab the fragrance into your skin and let it settle on its own.
5. Different climatic conditions
The different climatic conditions like excessive humidity and heat can affect the longevity of your perfume. In hotter climates, sweat can easily tear down the fragrance of your perfume. To intensify the fragrance, try layering your perfume after a few hours. In winters a single spritz can work for hours.
