1. India : Ubtan - The ultimate nature glow
The tradition of applying Ubtan has been passed down to generations as a part of bridal beauty rituals which now has become the part of the weekly skin care routine in the form of a DIY mask. The Ubtan paste is made from turmeric, chickpea flour, sandalwood, milk or yogurt. It is commonly used to brighten and soften skin. The star ingredient here is turmeric, which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.
2. Japan: Double Cleansing for extra glow
The Japanese double cleansing method is a two step process designed to thoroughly cleanse skin without stripping away the essential moisture. First, an oil based cleanser is used to remove makeup and impurities, followed by a gentle water based cleanser to clean the skin, in this manner the skin gets perfectly prepped and hydrated.
3. South Korea: Sheet masks for Hydration
Lately Korean beauty has made waves globally with there skincare products and especially their sheet masks which has become one of the most essential and iconic steps in the skincare regimen. These serum soaked masks are known to deliver instant hydration. Often clubbed with natural soothing ingredients such as lavender, green tea and chamomile they have become a symbol of refreshment and indulgence.
4. Egypt: Milk baths for soft and supple skin
From the times of Cleopatra, these famed milk baths are legendary in the history of beauty and skincare. Milk is known for its properties of exfoliation and to soothe skin leaving it soft and smooth.
5. France: Less is more philosophy
In France, the beauty philosophy is all about simplicity and elegance. Minimal skincare has been getting alot of attention, the focus is now on fewer but high end products and products that target specific skin concerns or choosing products that covers a wide range of skin concerns.
